If a document is in a foreign language that you do not understand sufficiently, I can assist in arranging for it to be professionally translated. While this service will incur an additional fee, our long-standing relationships with highly experienced translators enable us to arrange translations promptly and efficiently.
Certification of Translations
The procedure for notarising a translation depends on whether the notary is able to verify the language concerned.
Where the notary has the appropriate knowledge of the relevant language, the original document and its translation can be reviewed and the notary may certify that the translation accurately reflects the original text.
Where the notary is not able to verify the language personally, the translation may instead be certified by the translator. The translator provides a certificate confirming the accuracy of the translation, and the notary then authenticates the translator’s identity and, where appropriate, their signature or declaration.
